Assistant Nurses Training
This course is designed to train students to be competent in skills necessary for the nursing assistant to function successfully in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other health care facilities. The nursing assistant will provide services related to the comfort and welfare of the resident under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse or physician. Some topics to be covered include body mechanics, transfer techniques, basic anatomy and physiology, personal care, vital signs, rehabilitation, death, Alzheimer's patient care, dying, and post-mortem care. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is also included.
